Get Ready for Hiking

Hiking tours at Camino Del Rio are along easy flat terrain.  No hiking experience is needed.  If you can walk unassisted, then you can partake in the nature onsite. 

What You’ll Need:

• Comfortable Walking Shoes:Closed-in shoes, sneakers or low-impact hiking boots 
• Socks may add for more comfort but are not essential
• Protective clothing should include:
      - A hat or scarf for sun and bug protection
      - Long comfortable loose fitting pants or shorts 
      - A cotton blend shirt for better perspiration   

Directions to Camino Del Rio:

It’s so easy to get to Camino Del Rio in Central Belize.  We are located in the Cayo district and just 10 miles east of Belmopan.  From Belize City or San Ignacio, take the Western Highway towards Belmopan.

Camino Del Rio is located off the Western Highway at mile marker 37.  Turn into the Franks Eddy Village and follow the signs 1.9 miles to the entrance.  

On the date of your scheduled tour, meet at the front entrance Palapa after entering the gate at Camino Del Rio.  Our guide will meet you at the Palapa to begin your scenic tour.
